English Translation
Abū Mu‘āwiyah narrated to us: al-A‘mash narrated to us, from Jāmi‘ ibn Shaddād, from Safwān ibn Muhriz, from ‘Imrān ibn Husayn, who said: The Messenger of Allāh ﷺ said: Accept the glad tidings, O Banū Tamīm! They said: You have given us glad tidings, so give us something. He said: Accept the glad tidings, O people of Yemen! They said: We accept, so tell us about the beginning of this matter — how was it? He said: Allāh — blessed and exalted is He — existed before all things, and His Throne was upon the water. He wrote in the Preserved Tablet the record of all things. He said: Then someone came to me and said: O ‘Imrān, your she-camel has come loose from her hobble. He said: So I went out after her, and I do not know what happened after I left.
