حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ أَخْبَرَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنْ جَامِعِ بْنِ شَدَّادٍ عَنْ صَفْوَانَ بْنِ مُحْرِزٍ الْمَازِنِيِّ عَنْ عِمْرَانَ بْنِ حُصَيْنٍ قَالَ جَاءَ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ نَاسٌ مِنْ بَنِي تَمِيمٍ فَقَالَ أَبْشِرُوا يَا بَنِي تَم
ِيمٍ قَالُوا بَشَّرْتَنَا فَأَعْطِنَا قَالَ فَكَانَ وَجْهُ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَادَ أَنْ يَتَغَيَّرَ قَالَ ثُمَّ جَاءَ نَاسٌ مِنْ أَهْلِ الْيَمَنِ فَقَالَ لَهُمْ اقْبَلُوا الْبُشْرَى إِذْ لَمْ يَقْبَلْهَا بَنُو تَمِيمٍ قَالُوا قَدْ قَبِلْنَا

English Translation
Abd al-Razzāq narrated to us: Sufyān informed us, from Jāmi‘ ibn Shaddād, from Safwān ibn Muhriz al-Māzinī, from ‘Imrān ibn Husayn, who said: Some people from Banū Tamīm came to the Prophet ﷺ. He said: Receive glad tidings, O Banū Tamīm! They said: You have given us glad tidings, so give us something. The face of the Messenger of Allāh ﷺ almost changed. Then some people from Yemen came, and he said to them: Accept the glad tidings, since Banū Tamīm did not accept them. They said: We accept.
