Hadith #240
Arabic Text
حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيٌّ حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاذٌ حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي عَنْ عَوْنٍ وَهُوَ ا
لْعَقِيلِيُّ عَنْ مُطَرِّفٍ عَنْ عِمْرَانَ بْنِ حُصَيْنٍ قَالَ كَانَ عَامَّةُ دُعَاءِ نَبِيِّ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ اللَّهُمَّ اغْفِرْ لِي مَا أَخْطَأْتُ وَمَا تَعَمَّدْتُ وَمَا أَسْرَرْتُ وَمَا أَعْلَنْتُ وَمَا جَهِلْتُ وَمَا تَعَمَّدْتُ

English Translation
ʿAlī narrated to us, Muʿādh narrated to us, my father narrated to me, from ʿAwn — and he is al-ʿUqaylī — from Muṭarrif, from ʿImrān ibn Ḥuṣayn, who said: The general supplication of the Prophet ﷺ of Allah ﷺ was: “O Allah, forgive me for what I have done wrong and what I have done deliberately, what I have concealed and what I have declared, and what I have been ignorant of and what I have done intentionally.”
