English Translation

Bahz narrated to us, Hammām narrated to us. Qatādah was asked about al-Shafʿ and al-Witr, so he said: ʿImrān ibn ʿIṣām al-Ḍubaʿī narrated to us, from an elderly man of the people of Basrah, from ʿImrān ibn Ḥuṣayn, that the Prophet ﷺ said: “It is the prayer — some of it is shafʿ (even) and some of it is witr (odd).”
