حَدَّثَنَا عَبْد اللَّهِ حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ أَخْبَرَنَا ثَابِتٌ عَنْ مُطَرِّفٍ عَنْ عِمْرَانَ بْنِ حُصَيْنٍ وَسَعِيدٌ الْجُرَيْرِيُّ عَنْ أَبِي الْعَلَاءِ عَنْ مُطَرِّفٍ عَنْ عِمْرَانَ بْنِ حُصَيْنٍ أَنّ
َ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ لِرَجُلٍ هَلْ صُمْتَ مِنْ سُرَرِ شَعْبَانَ شَيْئًا قَالَ لَا قَالَ فَإِذَا أَفْطَرْتَ رَمَضَانَ فَصُمْ يَوْمَيْنِ قَالَ الْجُرَيْرِيُّ صُمْ يَوْمًا
English Translation
ʿAbd Allāh narrated to us, my father narrated to me, ʿAffān narrated to us, Ḥammād narrated to us, Thābit informed us, from Muṭarrif, from ʿImrān ibn Ḥuṣayn. And Saʿīd al-Jurayrī from Abū al-ʿAlāʿ, from Muṭarrif, from ʿImrān ibn Ḥuṣayn, that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said to a man: “Did you fast anything from the last days of Shaʿbān?” He said: ‘No.’ He said: “Then when you break your fast from Ramadan, fast two days.” Al-Jurayrī said: ‘Fast one day.’
