‏ ‏حَدَّثَنَا ‏ ‏عَبْد اللَّهِ ‏ ‏حَدَّثَنِي ‏ ‏أَبِي ‏ ‏حَدَّثَنَا ‏ ‏عَفَّانُ ‏ ‏حَدَّثَنَا ‏ ‏حَمَّادٌ ‏ ‏حَدَّثَنَا ‏ ‏ثَابِتٌ ‏ ‏عَنْ ‏ ‏مُطَرِّفٍ ‏ ‏عَنْ ‏ ‏عِمْرَانَ بْنِ حُصَيْنٍ ‏ ‏أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ‏ ‏صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ‏ ‏نَهَى عَنْ الْكَيِّ فَاكْتَوَيْنَا فَلَمْ يُفْلِحْنَ وَلَمْ يُنْجِحْنَ ‏

English Translation

ʿAbd Allāh narrated to us, my father narrated to me, ʿAffān narrated to us, Ḥammād narrated to us, Thābit narrated to us, from Muṭarrif, from ʿImrān ibn Ḥuṣayn, that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade cauterization. He said: ‘We cauterized ourselves, but they did not succeed and did not benefit.’
