حَدَّثَنَا حَسَنُ بْنُ مُوسَى وَسُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ قَالَا ثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ حَدَّثَنَا غَيْلَانُ بْنُ جَرِيرٍ عَنْ مُطَرِّفٍ قَالَ صَلَّيْتُ صَلَاةً خَلْفَ عَلِيِّ بْنِ أَبِي طَالِبٍ أَنَا وَعِمْرَانُ بْنُ حُصَيْنٍ فَكَانَ إِذَا سَجَدَ كَبَّرَ وَإِذَا رَفَعَ كَبَّرَ
وَإِذَا نَهَضَ مِنْ الرَّكْعَتَيْنِ كَبَّرَ فَلَمَّا قَضَى الصَّلَاةَ أَخَذَ بِيَدِي عِمْرَانُ فَقَالَ لَقَدْ ذَكَّرَنِي هَذَا قَبَلُ صَلَاةَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَوْ قَالَ لَقَدْ صَلَّى بِنَا هَذَا صَلَاةَ مُحَمَّدٍ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ

English Translation
Ḥasan ibn Mūsā and Sulaymān ibn Ḥarb said: Ḥammād ibn Zayd narrated to us, Ghaylan ibn Jarīr narrated to us, from Muṭarrif, who said: I prayed a prayer behind ʿAlī ibn Abī Ṭālib, myself and ʿImrān ibn Ḥuṣayn. He would say takbīr when prostrating, when raising his head, and when rising from the second rakʿah. When the prayer ended, ʿImrān took my hand and said: ‘This man has reminded me of the prayer of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ’ — or he said: ‘This man has prayed with us the prayer of Muḥammad ﷺ.’
