English Translation

Yazīd narrated to us, Bahz ibn Ḥakīm informed us, from his father, from his grandfather, who said: I heard the Messenger of Allāh ﷺ saying: “No man comes to his mawlā (kinsman) and asks him for surplus that he possesses, and he refuses to give it to him, except that on the Day of Resurrection a serpent will be summoned for him, licking its lips, [representing] the surplus that he withheld from him.”
