English Translation
Yazīd narrated to us, Bahz ibn Ḥakīm informed us, from his father, from his grandfather, who said: I said: ‘O Messenger of Allāh, we are a people who ask one another for wealth.’ He said: ‘A man may ask in times of calamity or disaster, to make reconciliation among his people. Once he has attained what is needed — or nearly so — he should refrain.’”
