English Translation

Yaḥyā ibn Sa‘īd narrated to us, from Bahz ibn Ḥakīm, who said: My father narrated to me, from my grandfather, who said: I heard the Messenger of Allāh ﷺ saying: “No man comes to a mawlā (kinsman) of his and asks him for surplus that he possesses, and he refuses to give it to him, except that on the Day of Resurrection a serpent will be summoned for him, licking its lips, [representing] the surplus that he withheld.”
