كِيمٍ حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي عَنْ جَدِّي قَالَ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ وَيْلٌ لِلَّذِي يُحَدِّثُ فَيَكْذِبُ لِيُضْحِكَ بِهِ الْقَوْمَ وَيْلٌ لَهُ

English Translation

Yaḥyā ibn Sa‘īd narrated to us, from Bahz ibn Ḥakīm, who said: My father narrated to me, from my grandfather, who said: I heard the Messenger of Allāh ﷺ saying: “Woe to the one who speaks and lies in order to make the people laugh by it. Woe to him.”
