English Translation

‘Abd Allāh said: I found in my father’s book in his own handwriting — and I strongly believe I also heard it from him — he said: ‘Alī ibn ‘Abd Allāh narrated to us, Mu‘ādh narrated to us, who said: I found in my father’s book in his own handwriting, though I did not hear it from him: Qatādah narrated to us, from Yaḥyā ibn Mālik, from Samurah ibn Jundub, that the Prophet ﷺ said: “Attend the remembrance [of Allāh] and sit close to the imām, for a man continues to distance himself until he is placed in the back in Paradise, even if he enters it.”
