Arabic Text
حَدَّثَنَا هُشَيْمٌ حَدَّثَنَا حُمَيْدٌ عَنْ الْحَسَنِ قَالَ جَاءَهُ رَجُلٌ فَقَالَ إِنَّ عَبْدًا لَهُ أَبَقَ وَإِنَّهُ
نَذَرَ إِنْ قَدَرَ عَلَيْهِ أَنْ يَقْطَعَ يَدَهُ فَقَالَ الْحَسَنُ حَدَّثَنَا سَمُرَةُ قَالَ قَلَّمَا خَطَبَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ خُطْبَةً إِلَّا أَمَرَ فِيهَا بِالصَّدَقَةِ وَنَهَى فِيهَا عَنْ الْمُثْلَةِ

English Translation
Hushaym narrated to us, Ḥumayd narrated to us, from al-Ḥasan, who said: A man came to him and said that a slave of his had run away, and he vowed that if he caught him he would cut off his hand. Al-Ḥasan said: Samurah narrated to us, saying: the Prophet ﷺ rarely delivered a sermon without commanding charity in it and forbidding mutilation.
