English Translation
Hushaym narrated to us, he said: Dāwūd ibn Abī Hind narrated to us, from Abū Ḥarb ibn Abī al-Aswad, from his father, from Abū Mūsā al-Ashʿarī that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to supplicate, saying: 'O Allah, I seek refuge in You from the evil of what I fear and the evil of what I am cautious about. O Allah, I seek refuge in You from the evil of a sinful soul that is never satisfied. O Allah, I seek refuge in You from the evil of the one I fear.' Or he said: 'the one I am cautious about.'
