English Translation

‘Affān narrated to us, Hammām narrated to us, from Qatādah, from al-Ḥasan, from Samurah: the Prophet ﷺ said: ‘Two parties in a sale have the option as long as they have not separated and each has taken what he accepted of the sale.’ (‘Affān narrated to us, Abū ‘Awānah narrated to us, al-Aswad ibn Qays narrated to us, from Tha‘labah ibn ‘Abbād, from Samurah ibn Jundub: He (Samurah) stood one day as a preacher and mentioned in his sermon a ḥadīth, saying: While a youth from the Anṣār and I were shooting at our targets during the time of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, the sun rose (and appeared) to the eye of the beholder about two spear-lengths (above the horizon), and he gave the sermon (describing the eclipse and events as mentioned earlier).
