حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيٌّ حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاذٌ حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي عَنْ قَتَادَةَ عَنِ الْحَسَنِ عَنْ سَمُرَةَ أَنَّ نَبِيَّ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ نَهَى عَنْ التَّبَتُّلِ
English Translation
‘Alī narrated to us, Mu‘ādh narrated to us, my father narrated to me, from Qatādah, from al-Ḥasan, from Samurah: the Prophet ﷺ of Allah ﷺ forbade celibacy (tabattul, i.e., renouncing marriage for the sake of worship).
