حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو قَطَنٍ حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامٌ عَنْ قَتَادَةَ عَنِ الْحَسَنِ عَنْ سَمُر

َةَ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ إِذَا أَنْكَحَ الْوَلِيَّانِ فَهُوَ لِلْأَوَّلِ مِنْهُمَا وَإِذَا بَاعَ بَيْعًا مِنْ رَجُلَيْنِ فَهُوَ لِلْأَوَّلِ مِنْهُمَا

English Translation
Abū Qaṭan narrated to us, Hishām narrated to us, from Qatādah, from al-Ḥasan, from Samurah: the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: ‘If two guardians (walīyyān) give a woman in marriage (each to a different man), she belongs to the first of them; and if a seller sells a sale to two men, it belongs to the first of them.’
