English Translation

Yaḥyā ibn Sa‘īd and Ibn Ja‘far narrated to us, both saying: Sa‘īd narrated to us, from Qatādah, from al-Ḥasan, from Samurah ibn Jundub, from the Prophet ﷺ who said: ‘Whoever kills his slave, we will kill him; and whoever mutilates him, we will mutilate him.’ Yaḥyā then said: Al-Ḥasan later forgot and said: He is not to be killed for it.
