حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ قَالَ قَالَ شُعْبَةُ وَحَدَّثَنَا الْحَكَمُ عَنْ عَبْدِ

الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَبِي لَيْلَى عَنْ سَمُرَةَ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مَنْ حَدَّثَ بِحَدِيثٍ وَهُوَ يَرَى أَنَّهُ كَذِبٌ فَهُوَ أَحَدُ الْكَاذِبِينَ

English Translation
Wakī‘ narrated to us, he said: Shu‘bah said, and al-Ḥakam narrated to us, from ‘Abd al-Raḥmān ibn Abī Laylā, from Samurah, who said: the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: ‘Whoever narrates a ḥadīth knowing it to be false, he is one of the liars.’
