English Translation

Yazīd narrated to us, he said: Ḥammād ibn Salamah informed us, from Thābit al-Bunānī, from Abū Burdah, from his father who said: the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: ‘When one of you passes through a marketplace, a gathering, or a mosque while carrying arrows, let him hold their blades — let him hold their blades.’ Three times. Abū Mūsā said: The afflictions did not leave us until some of us pointed them at the faces of others.
