حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الصَّمَدِ قَالَ ثَنَا ثَابِتٌ قَالَ ثَنَا عَاصِمٌ عَن أَبِي مِجْلَزٍ قَالَ صَلَّى أَبُو مُوسَى بِأَصْحَابِهِ وَهُوَ مُرْتَحِلٌ مِنْ مَكَّةَ إِلَى الْمَدِينَةِ فَصَلَّى الْعِش
َاءَ رَكْعَتَيْنِ وَسَلَّمَ ثُمَّ قَامَ فَقَرَأَ مِائَةَ آيَةٍ مِنْ سُورَةِ النِّسَاءِ فِي رَكْعَةٍ فَأُنْكِرَ ذَلِكَ عَلَيْهِ فَقَالَ مَا أَلَوْتُ أَنْ أَضَعَ قَدَمَيَّ حَيْثُ وَضَعَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَدَمَهُ وَأَنْ أَصْنَعَ مِثْلَ مَا صَنَعَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ

English Translation
ʿAbd al-Ṣamad narrated to us, he said: Thābit narrated to us, he said: ʿĀṣim narrated to us, from Abū Mijlaz who said: Abū Mūsā led his companions in prayer while traveling from Makkah to Madīnah. He prayed ʿIshāʾ as two rakʿahs, said the salām, then stood and recited one hundred āyahs from Sūrat al-Nisāʾ in one rakʿah. Some people objected to that. He said: I have only endeavored to place my feet where the Messenger of Allah ﷺ placed his, and to do as the Messenger of Allah ﷺ did.
