حَدَّثَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ دَاوُدَ قَالَ ثَنَا أَبُو عَوَانَةَ

عَن قَتَادَةَ عَن أَبِي بُرْدَةَ قَالَ قَالَ لِي أَبُو مُوسَى يَا بُنَيَّ لَوْ رَأَيْتَنَا وَنَحْنُ مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَأَصَابَنَا الْمَطَرُ وَجَدْتَ مِنَّا رِيحَ الضَّأْنِ

English Translation
Sulaymān ibn Dāwūd narrated to us, he said: Abū ʿAwānah narrated to us, from Qatādah, from Abū Burdah who said: Abū Mūsā said to me: O my son, if you had seen us when we were with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and rain caught us, you would have found from us the smell of sheep.
