English Translation

It was narrated from Abu Bakra (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'None of you should say: I stood in prayer throughout all of Ramadan.' Qatada said: Allah knows best — whether he feared self-praise for his nation, or he said: 'There must inevitably be one who sleeps or is heedless.'
