حَدَّثَنَا بَهْزٌ حَدَّثَنَا هَمَّامٌ أَخْبَرَنَا قَتَادَةُ عَن الْحَسَنِ عَن أَبِي بَكْرَةَ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى ال
لَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ لَا يَقُولَنَّ أَحَدُكُمْ إِنِّي قُمْتُ رَمَضَانَ كُلَّهُ قَالَ قَتَادَةُ فَاللَّهُ أَعْلَمُ أَخَشِيَ التَّزْكِيَةَ عَلَى أُمَّتِهِ أَوْ يَقُولُ لَا بُدَّ مِنْ رَاقِدٍ أَوْ غَافِلٍ
Isnad Chain
English Translation
It was narrated from Abu Bakra (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'None of you should say: I stood in prayer throughout all of Ramadan.' Qatada said: Allah knows best — whether he feared self-praise for his nation, or he said: 'There must inevitably be one who sleeps or is heedless.'
