حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ أَخْبَرَنَا سَعِيدٌ عَنْ قَتَادَةَ عَنْ عُقْبَةَ بْنِ صُهْبَانَ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مُغَفَّلٍ عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَّهُ نَهَى عَ
نْ الْخَذْفِ وَقَالَ إِنَّهُ لَا يُصَادُ بِهِ صَيْدٌ وَلَا يُنْكَأُ بِهِ عَدُوٌّ وَلَكِنَّهَا تَفْقَأُ الْعَيْنَ وَتَكْسِرُ السِّنَّ وَقَالَ يَزِيدُ مَرَّةً لَا يُصَادُ بِهَا صَيْدٌ وَلَا يُنْكَأُ بِهَا عَدُوٌّ

English Translation
It was narrated from 'Abdullah ibn Mughaffal (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade the slingshot and said: 'It does not hunt game and does not wound an enemy; it only knocks out teeth and puts out eyes.' Later someone from his relatives used a slingshot, so he said: 'I told you that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade it, yet you do it?! I will never speak to you again.'
