English Translation
It was narrated from Abu 'Umayr ibn Anas, from his paternal uncles among the Ansar (may Allah be pleased with them), that a group of riders came at the end of the day and testified that they had seen the crescent of Shawwal the previous day. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ ordered the people to break their fast and to go out to the prayer ground the next morning.
