English Translation
It was narrated from a group among the Companions of the Ansar (may Allah be pleased with them) that the crescent of Shawwal was obscured from them, so they fasted an extra day. Then riders came at the end of that day and testified that they had seen the crescent the night before. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ ordered them to break their fast and to go out to the prayer ground the following morning.
