English Translation
It was narrated from Qabisa ibn al-Mukhariq (may Allah be pleased with him) that he heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say: 'Augury from birds, geomancy, and drawing evil omens — these are from al-jibt.' 'Awf explained: augury from birds means drawing conclusions from their flight; geomancy means drawing lines in the ground; and al-jibt — al-Hasan said it means the devil.
