It was narrated from the father of Hayya ibn Habis al-Tamimi through another chain that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ was asked about omens and he disliked that. He was then asked: 'What is the best of omens?' He said: 'A good word.' He also said: 'The evil eye is real, and there is no substance in hamah.'
