Chain of Narration (Isnad)

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ عَنْ خَالِدٍ الْحَذَّاءِ عَنْ أَبِي قِلَابَةَ عَمَّنْ سَمِعَ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقْرَأُ { فَيَوْمَئِذٍ لَا يُعَذّ

ِبُ عَذَابَهُ أَحَدٌ وَلَا يُوثِقُ وَثَاقَهُ أَحَدٌ } يَعْنِي يَفْعَلُ بِهِ قَالَ خَالِدٌ وَسَأَلْتُ عَبْدَ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنَ أَبِي بَكْرَةَ قَالَ { فَيَوْمَئِذٍ لَا يُعَذِّبُ } أَيْ يَفْعَلُ بِهِ

English Translation

It was narrated from a companion of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ that he heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ recite Surah al-Fajr with the verse 'Yaf'alu bihi ma yasha'' — meaning 'He does to him what He wills' — in the active voice form, referring to what is done to the wrongdoer.
