English Translation
It was narrated from al-Muhajiir ibn Qunfudh ibn 'Umayr ibn Jud'an (may Allah be pleased with him) that he greeted the Prophet ﷺ while he was performing ablution, and the Prophet did not return his greeting. When he finished his ablution, he said: 'Nothing prevented me from returning your greeting except that I was in a state of ritual impurity.'
