Chain of Narration (Isnad)

حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ أَخْبَرَنَا مِسْعَرٌ عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ ابْنِ الْقِبْطِيَّةِ عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ سَمُرَةَ قَالَ كُنَّا إِذَا صَلَّيْنَا وَرَاءَ رَسُولِ

اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قُلْنَا السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكُمْ بِأَيْدِينَا يَمِينًا وَشِمَالًا فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مَا بَالُ أَقْوَامٍ يَرْمُونَ بِأَيْدِيهِمْ كَأَنَّهَا أَذْنَابُ الْخَيْلِ الشُّمْسِ لَا يَسْكُنُ أَحَدُهُمْ وَيُشِيرُ بِيَدِهِ عَلَى فَخِذِهِ ثُمَّ يُسَلِّمُ عَلَى صَاحِبِهِ عَنْ يَمِينِهِ وَعَنْ شِمَالِهِ

English Translation

It was narrated from Jabir ibn Samura (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'This matter will not end until twelve caliphs have come over them.' He then said a word that I did not hear, so I asked my father: 'What did he say?' He said: 'He said: all of them from Quraysh.'
