حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ أَخْبَرَنَا سُف

ْيَانُ عَنْ سِمَاكِ بْنِ حَرْبٍ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ جَابِرَ بْنَ سَمُرَةَ يَقُولُ كَانَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَجْلِسُ بَيْنَ الْخُطْبَتَيْنِ يَوْمَ الْجُمُعَةِ وَيَخْطُبُ قَائِمًا وَكَانَتْ صَلَاتُهُ قَصْدًا وَخُطْبَتُهُ قَصْدًا وَيَقْرَأُ آيَاتٍ مِنْ الْقُرْآنِ عَلَى الْمِنْبَرِ

English Translation
It was narrated from Jabir ibn Samura (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to sit between the two Friday sermons, delivering them while standing, reading from the Quran on the minbar, and his prayer and sermon were both moderate in length.
