حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ أَخْبَرَنَا عُيَيْنَةُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ ذَكَرْتُ لَيْلَةَ الْقَدْرِ عِنْدَ أَبِي بَكْرَةَ فَقَالَ مَا أَنَا بِمُلْتَمِسِهَا بَعْدَمَا سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَ
لَّمَ إِلَّا فِي عَشْرِ الْأَوَاخِرِ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ الْتَمِسُوهَا فِي الْعَشْرِ الْأَوَاخِرِ فِي الْوِتْرِ مِنْهُ قَالَ فَكَانَ أَبُو بَكْرَةَ يُصَلِّي فِي الْعِشْرِينَ مِنْ رَمَضَانَ كَصَلَاتِهِ فِي سَائِرِ السَّنَةِ فَإِذَا دَخَلَ الْعَشْرُ اجْتَهَدَ

English Translation
It was narrated from the father of 'Uyayna that he said: 'Laylat al-Qadr was mentioned to Abu Bakra (may Allah be pleased with him) and he said: I will not seek it after what I heard from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ except in the last ten nights. I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say: "Seek it in the last ten nights on the odd nights." Abu Bakra (may Allah be pleased with him) used to pray in the first twenty nights of Ramadan like his regular prayer, and on the last ten he would exert himself greatly.'
