حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَبِي بَكْرٍ الْمُقَدَّمِيُّ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو حُذَيْفَةَ مُوسَى عَنْ زُهَيْرِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مُحَ
مَّدِ بْنِ عَقِيلٍ عَنِ الطُّفَيْلِ بْنِ أُبَيٍّ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ لَوْلَا الْهِجْرَةُ لَكُنْتُ امْرَأً مِنْ الْأَنْصَارِ وَلَوْ سَلَكَ الْأَنْصَارُ وَادِيًا أَوْ شِعْبًا لَكُنْتُ مَعَ الْأَنْصَارِ

English Translation
It was narrated from Ubayy ibn Ka'b (may Allah be pleased with him) through his son al-Tufayl that the Prophet ﷺ said: 'Were it not for the emigration, I would have been a man from the Ansar. And if the Ansar were to go through a valley or ravine, I would be with the Ansar.'
