حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَمْر

ٍو عَنْ عِرَاكِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ قَالَ قَالَ أَبُو ذَرٍّ إِنِّي لَأَقْرَبُكُمْ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ مِنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِنِّي سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ إِنَّ أَقْرَبَكُمْ مِنِّي يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ مَنْ خَرَجَ مِنْ الدُّنْيَا كَهَيْئَتِهِ يَوْمَ تَرَكْتُهُ عَلَيْهِ وَإِنَّهُ وَاللَّهِ مَا مِنْكُمْ مِنْ أَحَدٍ إِلَّا وَقَدْ تَشَبَّثَ مِنْهَا بِشَيْءٍ غَيْرِي

English Translation

It was narrated from Abu Dharr (may Allah be pleased with him) that he said: "I will be the closest of you to the Messenger of Allah دلوالله on the Day of Resurrection. For I heard the Messenger of Allah دلوالله say: 'The closest of you to me on the Day of Resurrection will be the one who left the world in the same state I left him in.' And I alone am in that state."
