حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَامِرٍ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ عَنْ بُدَيْلِ بْنِ مَيْسَرَةَ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ أَبَا الْعَالِيَةِ الْبَرَّاءَ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ الصَّامِتِ عَنْ أَبِي ذَرٍّ أَنَّ النَّبِيّ
َ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ضَرَبَ فَخِذَهُ وَقَالَ لَهُ كَيْفَ أَنْتَ إِذَا بَقِيتَ فِي قَوْمٍ يُؤَخِّرُونَ الصَّلَاةَ ثُمَّ قَالَ صَلِّ الصَّلَاةَ لِوَقْتِهَا ثُمَّ انْهَضْ فَإِنْ كُنْتَ فِي الْمَسْجِدِ حَتَّى تُقَامَ الصَّلَاةُ فَصَلِّ مَعَهُمْ

English Translation
It was narrated from Abu Dharr (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah دلوالله struck his thigh and said: "How will you be when you remain among people who delay the prayer?" Then he said: "Pray the prayer at its proper time. Then go — and if the congregation is already praying when you arrive at the mosque, pray with them."
