حَدَّثَنَا الْحَكَمُ بْنُ نَافِعٍ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ عَنْ مَكْحُولٍ وَعَطِيَّةَ وَضَمْرَةَ وَرَاشِدٍ عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ ثَابِتٍ أَنَّهُ س

ُئِلَ عَنْ زَوْجٍ وَأُخْتٍ لِأُمٍّ وَأَبٍ فَأَعْطَى الزَّوْجَ النِّصْفَ وَالْأُخْتَ النِّصْفَ فَكُلِّمَ فِي ذَلِكَ فَقَالَ حَضَرْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَضَى بِذَلِكَ

English Translation

It was narrated from Zayd ibn Thabit (may Allah be pleased with him) that he was asked about a husband and a full sister as heirs. He gave the husband half and the sister half. When he was questioned about this, he said: 'I was present with the Messenger of Allah ß and he gave that ruling.'
