حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ سَعِيدِ بْنِ حَيَّانَ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ يَحْيَى عَنْ أَبِي عَمْرَةَ عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ خَالِدٍ الْجُهَنِيِّ أَنَّ رَجُلًا مِنْ أَشْجَعَ مِنْ أَصْحَابِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ و
َسَلَّمَ تُوُفِّيَ يَوْمَ خَيْبَرَ فَذُكِرَ ذَلِكَ لِلنَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَ صَلُّوا عَلَى صَاحِبِكُمْ فَتَغَيَّرَ وُجُوهُ النَّاسِ مِنْ ذَلِكَ فَقَالَ إِنَّ صَاحِبَكُمْ غَلَّ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ فَفَتَّشْنَا مَتَاعَهُ فَوَجَدْنَا خَرَزًا مِنْ خَرَزِ يَهُودَ مَا يُسَاوِي دِرْهَمَيْنِ

English Translation
It was narrated from Zayd ibn Khalid al-Juhani (may Allah be pleased with him) that a man from the Ashja' tribe, one of the companions of the Prophet ß, died on the day of Khaybar. This was mentioned to the Prophet ß, and he said: 'Pray over your companion.' People's faces changed upon hearing this. He said: 'He took from the war booty before it was distributed.' So they searched his belongings and found some Jewish beads worth two dirhams.
