Hadith #49
Arabic Text
حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ حَدَّثَنَا عَطَاءٌ عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ خَالِدٍ الْجُهَنِيِّ عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مَنْ فَطَّرَ صَائِمًا كَانَ لَهُ أَوْ كُتِبَ لَهُ مِثْلُ أَجْرِ الصَّائِمِ مِنْ غَيْرِ أَنْ يَنْقُصَ مِنْ أَجْرِ الصَّائِمِ شَيْئًا وَمَنْ جَهَّزَ غَازِيًا فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ كَانَ لَهُ أَوْ كُتِبَ لَهُ مِثْلُ أَجْرِ الْغَازِي فِي أَنَّهُ لَا يَنْقُصُ مِنْ أَجْرِ الْغَازِي شَيْئًا
English Translation
It was narrated from Zayd ibn Khalid al-Juhani (may Allah be pleased with him) from the Prophet ß: 'Whoever provides the iftar for a fasting person, he will have the same reward as him, without anything being diminished from the reward of the fasting person. And whoever provides for a fighter, he will have the same reward as him.'
