حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَامِرٍ حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامٌ يَعْنِي ابْنَ سَعْدٍ عَنْ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ حَيَّانَ الدّ
ِمَشْقِيِّ أَخْبَرَتْنِي أُمُّ الدَّرْدَاءِ عَنْ أَبِي الدَّرْدَاءِ قَالَ لَقَدْ رَأَيْتُنَا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي بَعْضِ أَسْفَارِهِ فِي الْيَوْمِ الْحَارِّ الشَّدِيدِ الْحَرِّ حَتَّى إِنَّ الرَّجُلَ لَيَضَعُ يَدَهُ عَلَى رَأْسِهِ فِي شِدَّةِ الْحَرِّ وَمَا فِي الْقَوْمِ صَائِمٌ إِلَّا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَعَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ رَوَاحَةَ

English Translation
It was narrated from Abu al-Darda' (may Allah be pleased with him) that he said: 'I saw us with the Messenger of Allah ß on some of his journeys on an intensely hot day, so hot that a man would place his hand on his head due to the heat. None of us was fasting except the Messenger of Allah ß and Abdullah ibn Rawaha.'
