Hadith #130
Arabic Text
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَكْرٍ حَدَّثَنَا مَيْمُونٌ حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبَّا
دٍ عَنْ ثَوْبَانَ عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ لَا تُؤْذُوا عِبَادَ اللَّهِ وَلَا تُعَيِّرُوهُمْ وَلَا تَطْلُبُوا عَوْرَاتِهِمْ فَإِنَّهُ مَنْ طَلَبَ عَوْرَةَ أَخِيهِ الْمُسْلِمِ طَلَبَ اللَّهُ عَوْرَتَهُ حَتَّى يَفْضَحَهُ فِي بَيْتِهِ

English Translation
It was narrated from Thawban (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet ﷺ said: 'Do not harm the servants of Allah, do not insult them, and do not seek out their faults. For whoever seeks out the fault of his Muslim brother, Allah will seek out his fault until He exposes him in his own home.'
