English Translation

It was narrated from Muhammad ibn 'Abdullah ibn Jahsh (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet ﷺ shaded his eyes with his hand, then said: 'SubhanAllah, SubhanAllah! What severity has descended!' They remained silent that day and night and did not see it as something good. Muhammad said: 'I asked the Messenger of Allah ﷺ what the severity was that had descended.' He said: 'Regarding debt. By the One in Whose hand my soul is, if a man were killed in the path of Allah, then came back to life, then was killed again, and had debt, he would not enter Paradise until his debt was paid.'
