حَدَّثَنَا هُشَيْمٌ حَدَّثَنَا حَفْصُ بْنُ مَيْسَرَةَ عَنِ الْعَلَاءِ عَنْ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ مَوْلَى مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ جَحْشٍ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ جَحْشٍ خَتَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَ
لَّمَ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مَرَّ عَلَى مَعْمَرٍ بِفِنَاءِ الْمَسْجِدِ مُحْتَبِيًا كَاشِفًا عَنْ طَرَفِ فَخِذِهِ فَقَالَ لَهُ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ خَمِّرْ فَخِذَكَ يَا مَعْمَرُ فَإِنَّ الْفَخِذَ عَوْرَةٌ

English Translation
It was narrated from Muhammad ibn Jahsh (may Allah be pleased with him), the brother-in-law of the Prophet ﷺ, that the Prophet ﷺ passed by Ma'mar in the courtyard of the mosque sitting with his thigh exposed, and the Prophet ﷺ said to him: 'O Ma'mar, cover your thigh, for the thigh is 'awrah.'
