حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ
Body (Matn)
عَنْ حَرْمَلَةَ بْنِ إِيَاسٍ عَنْ أَبِي قَتَادَةَ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ صَوْمُ يَوْمِ عَرَفَةَ يُكَفِّرُ سَنَتَيْنِ مَاضِيَةً وَمُسْتَقْبَلَةً وَصَوْمُ عَاشُورَاءَ يُكَفِّرُ سَنَةً مَاضِيَةً
Isnad Chain
English Translation
It was narrated from Abu Qatadah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'Fasting the Day of 'Arafah expiates two years — the past and the coming — and fasting the Day of 'Ashura' expiates the past year.'
