English Translation

It was narrated from Abu Qatadah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to lead them in prayer and would recite in the first two rak'ahs of 'Asr and Zuhr two surahs and al-Fatihah. He would occasionally let them hear a verse. He would recite al-Fatihah in the last two rak'ahs and would lengthen the first rak'ah.
