English Translation
It was narrated from 'Ubadah ibn al-Samit (may Allah be pleased with him) that he said: 'We pledged to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ to hear and obey in ease and hardship, in what we like and what we dislike, and not to dispute the authority of those who hold it. We are to speak the truth wherever we are and not fear any blame in the path of Allah.'
