حَدَّثَنَا حُسَيْنُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ وَغَيْرُهُ قَالَا حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مُطَرِّفٍ عَنْ حَسَّانَ بْنِ عَطِيّ

َةَ عَنْ أَبِي أُمَامَةَ الْبَاهِلِيِّ عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ الْحَيَاءُ وَالْعِيُّ شُعْبَتَانِ مِنْ الْإِيمَانِ وَالْبَذَاءُ وَالْبَيَانُ شُعْبَتَانِ مِنْ النِّفَاقِ

English Translation
It was narrated from Abu Umamah al-Bahili (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet ﷺ said: 'Modesty and restraint in speech are two branches of faith. Obscenity and eloquence used for evil are two branches of hypocrisy.'
