English Translation
It was narrated from 'Ubadah ibn al-Samit (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'Whoever fights in the path of Allah the Mighty and Majestic, and intends in his campaign only a rope — he gets what he intended.' This indicates that sincerity of intention in jihad determines one's reward.
