و قَالَ أَبُو حَازِمٍ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ أَبُو ضَمْرَةَ لَا أَعْلَمُهُ إِلَّا عَنْ سَهْلِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ قَالَ مَثَلِي وَمَثَلُ السَّاعَةِ كَهَاتَيْنِ وَفَرَّقَ بَيْنَ أُصْبُعَيْهِ الْوُسْطَى وَالَّتِي تَلِي الْإِبْهَامَ ثُمَّ قَالَ مَثَلِي وَمَثَلُ السَّاعَةِ كَمَثَلِ فَرَسَيْ رِهَانٍ ثُمَّ
قَالَ مَثَلِي وَمَثَلُ السَّاعَةِ كَمَثَلِ رَجُلٍ بَعَثَهُ قَوْمُهُ طَلِيعَةً فَلَمَّا خَشِيَ أَنْ يُسْبَقَ أَلَاحَ بِثَوْبِهِ أُتِيتُمْ أُتِيتُمْ ثُمَّ يَقُولُ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَا ذَلِكَ

English Translation
It was narrated from Sahl ibn Sa'd (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet ﷺ said: 'My example and the example of the Hour is like a man sent by his people as a scout. When he feared he would be overtaken, he waved his garment: You are coming, you are coming. I am that scout.'
