حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ مَهْدِيٍّ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنْ أَبِي حَازِمٍ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ سَهْلَ بْنَ سَعْدٍ يَقُولُ كَانَ رِجَالٌ يُصَلُّونَ مَعَ
النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَاقِدِي أُزُرِهِمْ عَلَى رِقَابِهِمْ كَهَيْئَةِ الصِّبْيَانِ فَيُقَالُ لِلنِّسَاءِ لَا تَرْفَعْنَ رُءُوسَكُنَّ حَتَّى يَسْتَوِيَ الرِّجَالُ جُلُوسًا
Isnad Chain
English Translation
It was narrated from Sahl ibn Sa'd (may Allah be pleased with him) that men would pray with the Prophet ﷺ with their lower garments tied around their necks like boys. The women were told: 'Do not raise your heads until the men have settled into the sitting position' — due to the shortness of their garments.
